From Isra:
I feel so honored to win this scholarship! Now it will pay forward to helping me do research in Retinitis Pigmentosa, a hereditary disease that impairs the vision of the person affected. One of my friends has RP, and this money will help me obtain my biomedical sciences degree in order to participate in research for this disease and potentially finding better treatments for her, maybe even a cure.

I will be going to NOVA Southeastern University to obtain my biomedical degree. After university, I plan to go to medical school and obtain my MD/DO. Later, I want to specialize in ophthalmology (eyes) or dermatology (skin).
